Wiggly Tails offers Board and Train, Doggie Daycamp, Group Classes, and Private Lessons (at your home or at our facility).  All training is done with our resident trainer Nicole Stewart!  Future training services will include Agility and Flyball.  Nicole is what is called a reward-based or positive trainer. She focuses on setting you and your dog up for success; putting your dog in a situation where he/she cannot get into trouble and then showing them what you want them to do.

To sign up, you can call or e-mail us. The Waiver, Policies & Procedures and Registration paperwork is on our Forms page which must be completed before you come to class. You can fax them to (847)272-4234 or send them via e-mail to mail@wigglytails.com.

There is also a $50 deposit to reserve your spot in the class that you may pay by sending a check or pay over the phone with a credit card and we request the full amount be paid 7 days in advance of the beginning of class.

Please be sure to read the Requirements for classes.

Board & Train Program

  • This option allows your pooch to have one-on-one time with our resident trainer.
  • While your away, your dog will be learning the beginnings of basic behaviors in a 45-60 minute training session each day.  Nicole will lay the groundwork by introducing these new skills while your away.
  • A 45-minute private session with both you and your dog is included in which Nicole passes the training baton on to you for continued maintenance.
  • A pre-board and train meeting/discussion with Nicole is required.
  • Cost varies by the length of stay! Call for rates.

Doggie Daycamp- Daycare & Training Program

  • Similar to the Board and Train Program.

  • This option allows your dog to train while at daycare.

Group Classes

Puppy Preschool:  $175 for 6 weeks

  • This fun-filled class is for puppies 8-16 weeks.
  • Prevention: How to set up you home so both you and your new pup can achieve success
  • Basic behavior & maintenance training: We will discuss how to handle puppy biting, jumping, crate and potty training and the “attention” command.
  • Socialization skills: There will be lots of play time for fun, photo-ops, and a great beginning for your puppy to develop good social skills early.

Beginning Behaviors:  $195 for 6 weeks and (1) 30min private session.

  • This training class is for dogs ages 5 1/2 + months or prior   instructor approval.

  • Basic commands: All the important ones: down, sit, stay, come, find it, leave it, go to your bed, heeling and walking without pulling.

  • Problem solving: This class will also address ways to solve common behavior issues.

Intermediate Obedience, "The Real World":  $195 for 6 weeks class

  • We take the beginning behaviors and practice them while adding distraction, distance and duration, plus simulating "Real World" situations such as heeling in a crowded environment, staying with someone running by, sitting in a cafe and having the "server" serve over the dog, and much more.

Fun & Games:  $195 for 6 weeks.

  • In this class it’s fun, fun, fun!  You’ll learn how to build one behavior on another, and with that skill, teach your dog complex tricks. You will also learn fun agility behaviors and tricks as well! This class is a great way to build a bond and trust between you and your pooch.

Retrieving:  $195 for 6 weeks.

  • It is our goal to get you and your dog working together towards a solid retrieve. Retrieving is a great way to get your dog the full out running that they need to release some of that energy we are always trying to expel. If your dog has no retrieving or the beginnings of one, this class will give you some direction for strengthening the skill.

Clicker Training:  $200 for 6 weeks and one 30 min. private session.

  • This class is also for dogs ages 6 + months or prior instructor approval.

  • It covers the same topics as basic behaviors, but the clicker is introduced as a tool to speed up the process.

  • The first class of this series is for humans only.

Private Lessons

  • 1 on 1 lessons with you, your pooch, and Nicole can be arranged also.  These sessions can be taken at Wiggly Tails or at your own home (travel fees may apply).

  • These private lessons are tailored to address specific problematic behavior or give additional reinforcement and instruction.

  • Sessions can be bought individually or in packages.
